Over the holidays I received a rather unique gift.  Something unexpected and something truly one of a kind.  It was the INSINK 4-1.

The idea is pretty simple behind the INSINK, never fill your sink again to do dishes.  The dishwashing, food prep and organization system is compact and designed to fit within your kitchen sink.

Consisting of 6 pieces in the box, INSINK takes seconds to set up for use.  Set up is as simple as affixing one or 2 of the included suction bars to the inside of your sink bowl then hanging the kaddy or kup off of the suction bar.

As seen above the INSINK 4-1 includes a dish brush, kup, and katcher with kaddy plus 2 suction bars, not pictured.  There are a few combinations that the INSINK system can be set up as.

The kup with the brush can be used to wash dishes.  The kaddy can be used to air dry cutlery.  The kaddy in combination with the katcher can be used as to collect food scraps during preparation or to rinse fresh foods.

In our house we did a small test, we made dinner and used INSINK to see how much water we would use washing all of the pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery.   I filled the kup with hot water (1.5 cups) and dish soap and set aside 5 cups of water for rinsing dishes.

I thought I had my work cut out but I was wrong.  After washing a total of 17 pieces I was done.  I had 3/4 of a cup of hot water and dish soap to spare as well as 3 cups of rinsing water.  I used a total of 2 3/4 cups of water to do the dishes, which would typically use close to 7L of water when filling the kitchen sink.

Whether you’re looking to reduce your water consumption in a traditional home or a tiny home I highly recommend the INSINK 4-1 system.

It is important to point out that INSINK uses BPA free plastic and all components to the system are completely recyclable.

As a result of INSINK, doing dishes at home has become fun again..and the dishwasher has been on a much deserved vacation!
